SKIN TESTING
Why do we skin test?
- To check clients for sensitivity to colouring products
- To ensure the safety of our clients during the colour service
- Our product manufactures ask us to do so
- Sensitivity can change with different products and long term use
- Its in our salon Heath &Safety policy
- Must be applied 48 hours before your salon visit
Regular clients – you will need an updated skin test if:
- You have applied a box colour since your last visit (It will really help us out if you could let us know when booking)
- You are wanting a colour change
- You have not had a colour with us in salon within a 6 month period
New client to the salon wanting any colour service will need a skin test 48 hours before application:
- On-scalp colour service root touch up
- Full head colour application
- Balyage/Ombre
- Highlights
- Full head & Tone
- Quasi colour
Charleys provides a free skin test (if picked up from the salon) or for £2 (if posted).

Removal is charged if you are having your extensions removed and not refitted or if you leave them over the recommended refit time of :
Nanos & stick tips: 10–12 weeks
Tape: 6–8 weeks

Extensions left in for longer than advised by your stylist can extend the salon removal time and reduce the life span of your extension.
If you are having your extensions refitted with us on the same day we do not charge for removal.
